Tom Brown Park is located in eastern Tallahassee, just east of Capital Circle SE between Mahan Drive and Apalachee Parkway. Spanning nearly 300 acres, it offers a wide range of recreational activities including baseball and softball fields, tennis and racquetball courts, playgrounds, a pump track, wooded trails, open green spaces, and a dog park. It is also home to Celebrate America, the city’s annual 4th of July fireworks show.
The park was dedicated in 1977 and named after Thomas Irvin Brown, Jr., a longtime Leon County Commissioner, coach, and community leader whose impact was felt throughout the city.
