Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park is a 670-acre natural area on the eastern shore of Lake Jackson, acquired in 1992 through a partnership between the Northwest Florida Water Management District, the City of Tallahassee, and landowner Colin Phipps. The City purchased 162 acres that include the Meadows Soccer Complex and the redeveloped Meridian Park youth sports area. The remaining 600 acres are preserved for passive recreation and environmental education, offering visitors a peaceful place to enjoy nature.
