Lafayette Park is a 22-acre neighborhood park with a recreation center, an arts and crafts center, playground, softball field, tennis courts, picnic shelter, and a one-mile trail. A small area of rolling land suggests that there was once a ravine that runs through the property, which was piped underground. There is a historic Boy Scout house built in 1935 and a recreation center built in 1957. The park was once part of a land grant given to Marquis de Lafayette.
