The Grove Museum's mission is to preserve and share the history of the Call-Collins House, its grounds, and its collections, inviting the public to explore and reflect on civil rights and American history.
Built around 1840 by enslaved craftspeople, the Call-Collins House is one of Florida’s best-preserved antebellum homes. It was the residence of multiple generations of the Call and Collins families, including Governor LeRoy Collins and his wife, Mary Call Collins. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the house and its 10.5-acre property were later restored under the direction of the Florida Department of State. In 2017, the site reopened to the public as The Grove Museum.
