Last updated:
Leon High School, founded in 1871, is Florida’s oldest continually accredited high school. Its early buildings were located where the Hobbs Federal Building and the Leon County Public Library now stand. The current three-story campus opened in 1936, and although some believed it was too large at the time, it has become a lasting symbol of tradition and excellence. Every student who walks its halls becomes part of that proud legacy.
