Young Actors Theatre is a Tallahassee tradition since 1975. Providing performing arts instruction to students ages 3–18, YAT is one of a handful of independent youth organizations that owns and operates its own on-site theatre. YAT helps young actors and actresses grow and develop their talents in acting, singing and dancing, while also gaining confidence, team-building skills and creative problem solving. At YAT, small classes and professional-level productions help prepare young performers for the stage and for life. YAT's student performances are enjoyed by more than 10,000 audience members each year and the organization is supported by an active community of families, alumni and arts supporters.
