Founded in 1972, The Tallahassee Ballet is a regional nonprofit dance company presenting a rich mix of classical and contemporary works performed by both professional and emerging dancers. The organization promotes a love for dance through outstanding annual productions, educational programs, and community outreach.
Guided by an active Board of Directors, a full-time CEO, development staff, and dedicated volunteers, The Tallahassee Ballet thrives with support from corporate sponsors, private foundations, and numerous grant programs. It also benefits from strong partnerships with Florida State University’s College of Music, School of Dance, School of Theatre, Florida State Opera, and with FAMU. Additional funding comes from the State of Florida’s Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.
The company’s excellent reputation reflects decades of commitment and talent contributed by countless individuals who have helped shape and sustain this treasured cultural institution.
