Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park has six prehistoric earthen temple mounds, two of which are open to the public. The park has two scenic trails, one that features the ruins of an 1800s estate and a historic grist mill, the other that winds through a native sandhill habitat. Amenities at the park include picnic areas, a pavilion for groups, and opportunities for wildlife and bird-watching. Guided tours can be requested.
