Dodd Hall, the most elaborate example of Collegiate Gothic architecture at Florida State University, was built in stages between 1925 and 1929 and originally served as the university library until 1956. Renamed in 1961 for William George Dodd, a former English professor and dean, the building has housed various departments and was fully renovated in 1991. Today, its west wing contains the Heritage Museum, home to a stunning 22-foot stained glass window dedicated in 1997 and nearly 20 additional windows honoring key figures and organizations in FSU's history. The building's ornate architecture, painted ceilings, and historic artworks make it a treasured landmark that continues to welcome and inspire visitors.
