The Southern Shakespeare Company (SSC) is a professional nonprofit that brings free Shakespeare performances and year-round education to make the Bard fun and accessible. SSC's mainstage production is the free Shakespeare in the Park Festival at Cascades Park, which features professional performances, local vendors, and youth Shakespeare performed by The Bardlings. It also offers in-school workshops, digital resources, and interactive programs with the Shakespeare Man. Its programs include touring productions, workshops, residencies, and camps that enrich the community and train young performers.
